Democrat Teasing Possible Run For Office Thinks Fourth Time May Be The Charm

by Hudson Crozier for the Daily Caller News Foundation A thrice-failed Democratic political candidate is considering taking on a Republican Senate seat in a consistently right-leaning state if voters want him to. Former Texas Democratic Rep. Beto O’Rourke said at a town hall in Denton, Texas, on Saturday that he would be open to launching a new Senate campaign for the 2026 midterm elections. Republican Sen. John Cornyn is running to hold onto his Senate seat against state Attorney General Ken Paxton, while no Democrats have entered the race so far. “If it comes to pass that this is what the people of Texas want, that it’s the highest and best use of what I can give to you, then yes, I will,” O’Rourke said when asked about a potential Senate run. “We’ll see what the future holds, but I’m going to do whatever is the greatest good for the greatest number in this state,” O’Rourke later told local news outlet WFAA. He said he is focused on running the liberal PAC Powered By People he founded in 2019. O’Rourke served as a House member from Texas between 2013 and 2019. The former representative ran unsuccessfully for Senate in 2018, dropped out of a presidential race in 2019 and lost a race for Texas governor in 2022 but took to the stage to stoke enthusiasm for the Democratic Party. He lost the 2018 election to Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas by 2.6 percentage points and the 2022 election to Republican Gov. Greg Abbott by 11. O’Rourke did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation. (MORE NEWS: Tracy Beanz Reveals MAHA’s Mission & What Comes Next In Fascinating Interview) The former candidate also spent the town hall criticizing President Donald Trump, specifically accusing him of persecuting transgender people in response to a question from a trans-identifying town hall attendee. “The way that these tinpot dictators, these wannabe tyrants, these authoritarians work is they try to pick the most vulnerable among us, the people that they hope you do not want to be associated with,” O’Rourke said. He then pivoted to Trump should respect “the rule of law” and “due process” before deporting alleged gang members to El Salvador prisons. “What you do to the least of us unchecked will happen to the rest of us pretty soon,” O’Rourke said. O’Rourke brought the transgender attendee up on stage and declared support, saying, “We’re going to stand with one another” as the crowd gave a standing ovation. Get News. Take Action. Another Trump Victory: Walmart Announces Buy “American-Made” Initiative

This article was written by Alec Johnson for WokeSpy. Click here to read the full article. The Trump administration continues to record remarkable progress in bringing back manufacturing despite the media-driven hysteria about the economy. Coinciding with Trump’s 100 days in office celebrations, retail giant Walmart announced a new buy American-made campaign dubbed “Grow With US.” The program, which aims to help small businesses, according to Axios, will make it “easier for U.S.-based entrepreneurs to navigate the complexities of retail and bring their products to a national stage.” BREAKING: Walmart launches new “Grow with US” program aimed at helping small businesses by expanding support for American-made products pic.twitter.com/VYYSHgwC7q — ALX 🇺🇸 (@alx) April 29, 2025 “We anticipate thousands of small businesses will take advantage of these free resources over the coming years,” John Furner, Walmart U.S. president and CEO, told Axios. (MORE NEWS: Independent Journalist Chrissy Clark Predicts Huge Govt. Waste, Corruption Days Before DOGE Revelation) “Walmart has a long history of investing in U.S. manufacturing. Since Sam Walton first launched a ‘Buy American’ initiative in 1985, we have been committed to sourcing and selling products that support American jobs,” states the retail giant. Since March 2021, the company has incrementally invested in a $350 billion fund to promote products made, grown, or assembled in the U.S. The initiative aims to create roughly 750,000 jobs within ten years. That’s why we created The Modern Memo. As often as possible, we want to offer our readers the option to take action after reading one of ours (or our partner’s) articles. For this piece, the action is easy: starting buying American made products. No, really. It is that simple. You don’t need to sign-up to any new websites or mailing lists. You don’t actually technically have to buy anything … but if you do need to hit the shops, why not buy American made?

Trump’s First 100 Days: Gangs, Primetime Collapse, And More ‘Underreported Stories’

“Underreported Stories” host Chrissy Clark sat down in April with Semafor White House correspondent Shelby Talcott to discuss the myriad things that have happened during President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office — this is one you’re not going to want to miss! “It has been a lot,” Talcott told Clark of her job during Trump’s second term in office thus far. “There’s been a lot of lack of sleep. But it’s been a lot of fun and I think we came into this, or at least I came into this, knowing that this was going to be the pace in which the Trump administration was doing things because they told us during the transition.” Talcott smiled as she told her story, noting that officials told journalists before the start of Trump’s second term that there would be no slowing down. “They want to overwhelm the system,” Talcott added. 2-Year-Old Deported? In their first story for the episode, Clark and Talcott discussed how the Trump administration was recently criticized for technically deporting a 2-year-old child and her mother who is an illegal immigrant. The child will be welcomed back to the U.S. whenever she chooses as she is legal to do so. (MORE NEWS: Navy SEAL Dissects Ukraine Negotiations Strategy In Must-Watch Chrissy Clark Interview) Despite immigration being a generally good issue for Trump, Clark noted that this particular case isn’t a good look for the administration. “It’s just such a tough situation and there’s a lot of ‘He said; She said,’” Talcott added. Clark also shared a social media post about the story where she went into more detail. EXCLUSIVE: 20,000,000 Sick Americans Abandoned By Medical ‘Oligarchy’ Controlled By Elites; Can We Fix It?

Opinions expressed are solely those of the author(s). In former President Biden’s January 2025 farewell speech, he warned of the risk of the U.S. becoming an oligarchy, a government controlled by a select group of ultra-wealthy and elite individuals. While Biden was referring to the government, my over two-decade career in healthcare has led me to see a similar dynamic in science and medicine. For years, this elite group’s dominance went unchallenged, accepted by both the medical community and the public, perhaps out of naivety or complacency. However, the COVID-19 pandemic pulled back the curtain, offering the public a rare glimpse into how medical policies and decisions are made, revealing the sway of these elites. Rise of Medical Censorship Debates over treatments, vaccine development, vaccine mandates, and public health strategies like lockdowns and school closures showcased the power dynamics at play. Over time, as some of these decisions were questioned or refuted, there emerged a demand for accountability and a questioning of expertise, with some moves seen as missteps or swayed by external pressures rather than scientific merit alone. Adding fuel to the fire, these elites mocked and insulted anyone, including their peers and colleagues, while calling for censorship of those questioning their dominance and views. Who are these elites, and what role do they play in medicine? They are highly educated individuals from prestigious institutions whose influence shapes both public opinion and medical practice through their research and academic roles. Their control is solidified by publications in high-impact journals, which set the standards for medicine. In federal health agencies like the NIH, FDA, or CDC, they wield significant power over policy, treatment approval, and research funding. Through books, media, and platforms like TED talks, they also mold public perception and policy, often setting the health agenda. Their decisions can skew healthcare towards specific philosophies or interests. The dominance of these elites rests on three pillars: control of information, gatekeeping opportunities, and influencing policy and practice. They manage information flow through the peer-review system, where high-impact journals act as gatekeepers, often favoring insiders. This control shapes medical education and practice. Their prestigious roles and platforms grant them access to funding and career opportunities, making it tough for outsiders to challenge or innovate within established narratives. Questioning their orthodoxies and dominance will often lead them to publicly insult you, question your credentials and training, and send journalists looking for a story and a social media mob after you. Silencing The Truth On COVID-19 and the Vaccines My collaboration with Dr. Bruce Patterson on long COVID research over the last four years has shown similar patterns. Long COVID, a condition defined as new onset symptoms persisting beyond three months post-SARS-CoV-2 infection, is affecting over 20 million Americans and 65 million people worldwide. The research focus, funding, and narrative around long COVID are heavily shaped by these same academics and medical elites, influencing which symptoms are addressed, treatments pursued, and patient management strategies adopted. There is a risk that novel insights or treatments might struggle for acceptance unless they align with the views of these influential figures. This dynamic is starkly illustrated by the NIH RECOVER COVID initiative, a $1.6 billion US taxpayer-funded effort on long COVID that has been criticized for its shortcomings. A report in STATNEWS highlighted a lack of transparency in funding criteria and dispersal; criticized the glacial pace of research; and noted the failure to set up well-designed clinical trials to study various therapeutics. Research on symptoms and patient surveys has minimal clinical utility in 2025 when millions of people continue to suffer and enough published research points to vascular inflammation driving the underlying pathology. Competition Over Collaboration I have observed more competition rather than collaboration among long COVID research groups. The divisive politicization of our country has falsely and cruelly framed long COVID as a quasi-liberal female psychiatric disorder. Likewise, those people suffering from post-COVID-19 vaccine syndrome, a condition similar to long COVID, have been ignored, smeared, and abused as “anti-vaxxers.” With the newly confirmed Robert F. Kennedy as Secretary of Health and Human Services and the nomination of Dr. Jay Bhattacharya at the helm of the NIH, there exists a tremendous opportunity for both leaders to shape the long COVID narrative by shifting towards an inclusive and transparent policy-making process and fostering environments for collaborative rather than competitive research. Besides fostering collaboration and transparency in research funding, well-designed clinical trials on FDA approval pathways are desperately needed for the millions of disabled and suffering patients. By addressing these areas, there’s a chance to mitigate the oligarchic tendencies within medical science, increase accountability, and better serve the health needs of the population, particularly those with conditions like long COVID. Ram Yogendra M.D., M.P.H. is a board-certified anesthesiologist with a diverse background in medicine and public health. Navy SEAL Dissects Ukraine Negotiations Strategy In Must-Watch Chrissy Clark Interview

Independent journalist Chrissy Clark interviewed Navy SEAL and Newsmax host Carl Higbie in late February about the ongoing negotiations within the Russia-Ukraine war. “In this conversation, Carl explains the political, military, and diplomatic factors driving (and hurting) these high-stakes talks,” Clark says in the description. What Does Higbie Think Now? Higbie’s conversation with Clark happened just days before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy got into a nasty little shouting match with Vice President JD Vance and President Donald Trump, according to DCNF. The argument commenced as Zelenskyy openly criticized the U.S. for not stopping Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, which happened under the leadership of President Joe Biden. “The part of history they don’t want you to know about Ukraine war.”pic.twitter.com/ffiwTwRkaU — Carl Higbie (@CarlHigbie) March 4, 2025 Higbie broke down his feelings on the situation during various segments on his nightly Newsmax show (5pm ET Monday – Friday). JD Vance Calls Out European Leaders Following the heated exchange between Trump, Vance and Zelenskyy, Vance took to Fox News to call out Europeans who “puff up their chests” and back the war in public, but immediately change their tune as soon as the journalists are out of earshot, according to Breitbart. “I don’t care what the Europeans say in public” because it is so different to what they say behind closed doors. Peace is what everyone realizes is best for Ukraine, Russia, and the region. “It’s useful to step back and ask ourselves, what is the actual plan here? You can’t just fund the war forever, the American people won’t stand for it… Our European friends… are doing a disservice to the Ukrainians because their own populations are saying they don’t want to fund the war indefinitely,” Vance added. “The craziest part of this… is sometimes you will have European heads of state who in public will puff up their chests and say, ‘we’re in it with President Zelensky for the next 10 years’, and then in private, they will pick up the phone and say, ‘This can’t go on forever. He has to come to the negotiating table’,” he continued later in the same segment. Tracy Beanz Reveals MAHA’s Mission & What Comes Next In Fascinating Interview

UncoverDC editor-in-chief Tracy Beanz joined The Joe Pags Show to break down the purpose of the Make America Healthy Again “MAHA” movement. Beanz wastes no time before diving into the mission and impact of MAHA, which could have far-reaching impacts that transcend generational health in the U.S. But what about Big Pharma’s deep pockets, and how the influence of those in leadership positions shapes policy? Who truly benefits, and who is paying the price? The craziest part — all of this connects back to the Jeffrey Epstein case, government corruption, and our current fight for truth and freedom. You really don’t want to miss this epic Joe Pags interview! Growing Your Own Food & Getting Healthy One of the most overlooked methods of improving your diet and health is to grow your own food. Don’t worry — you don’t need to own a farm in order to do this. Even a studio apartment can have enough space for some fresh herbs, and maybe some pepper or tomato plants! (RELATED: What Is Making America Sick? RFK Jr. Launches MASSIVE Investigations Into Rising Chronic Disease) You don’t even need to buy seeds to start your home garden. If you have any favorite fruits and veggies you eat at home, you can always save some seeds. This isn’t doable with all foods, but it is a fun place to start! Stop Eating Crap Yes, it really is that simple. You can just stop eating crap. And please, for the love of all things, don’t tell us it’s hard for you to eat healthy because you don’t have time to / can’t cook. There are plenty of restaurants quietly joining the MAHA movement (even if it’s accidentally in-spirit). For example, Sweetgreen only uses four ingredients in their fries: potato starch, avocado oil, parsley and salt. .@sweetgreen is launching fries today – explicitly calling out their CLEAN ingredients compared to the 10+ components of McDonald’s fries. What Is Making America Sick? RFK Jr. Launches MASSIVE Investigations Into Rising Chronic Disease

This article was originally published by Million Voices. Health and Human Services (HHS) Sec. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced on Feb. 18 that he will be launching investigations into the rise of chronic illness across America, but not in the way that you think. For decades, we’ve been told that the rise in chronic illness is due to … nothing. We’ve never received a conclusive answer as to why so many people in America become ill and seemingly never heal from their ailments. Many people believe that so-called “cures” from Big Pharma are actually means of prolonging life and illness as a way to reap huge financial rewards for boards and shareholders, but these believers are also called “conspiracy theorists” by some. Even so, the actual cause of chronic illness remains unknown. But hopefully not for much longer. To better understand the rise in chronic illness, RFK Jr. will start by investigating: ultra-processed food, electromagnetic radiation, childhood vaccine schedules, glyphosate and pesticides, artificial food additives, SSRIs and antidepressants, microplastics, and more, according to footage shared by Libs of TikTok. “Make America Health Again” EO & Commission On Feb. 13, President Donald Trump signed the “Establishing the President’s Make America Health Again Commission” executive order (EO) to “re-direct our national focus, in the public and private sectors, toward understanding and drastically lowering chronic disease rates and ending childhood chronic disease.” “American life expectancy significantly lags behind other developed countries, with pre‑COVID-19 United States life expectancy averaging 78.8 years and comparable countries averaging 82.6 years.  This equates to 1.25 billion fewer life years for the United States population.  Six in 10 Americans have at least one chronic disease, and four in 10 have two or more chronic diseases.  An estimated one in five United States adults lives with a mental illness,” the EO reads. It appears that no area of health is off-limits, including explorations into the soaring rates of cancers, autoimmune diseases, autism, so-called “behavioral disorders,” as well as fatty liver disease, diabetes, and more. “This poses a dire threat to the American people and our way of life.  Seventy-seven percent of young adults do not qualify for the military based in large part on their health scores.  Ninety percent of the Nation’s $4.5 trillion in annual healthcare expenditures is for people with chronic and mental health conditions.  In short, Americans of all ages are becoming sicker, beset by illnesses that our medical system is not addressing effectively.  These trends harm us, our economy, and our security,” the EO continues. What Will The New Policies Be? According to the EO: “It shall be the policy of the Federal Government to aggressively combat the critical health challenges facing our citizens, including the rising rates of mental health disorders, obesity, diabetes, and other chronic diseases.  To do so, executive departments and agencies (agencies) that address health or healthcare must focus on reversing chronic disease.  Under this policy: (a)  all federally funded health research should empower Americans through transparency and open-source data, and should avoid or eliminate conflicts of interest that skew outcomes and perpetuate distrust; (b)  the National Institutes of Health and other health-related research funded by the Federal Government should prioritize gold-standard research on the root causes of why Americans are getting sick; (c)  agencies shall work with farmers to ensure that United States food is the healthiest, most abundant, and most affordable in the world; and (d)  agencies shall ensure the availability of expanded treatment options and the flexibility for health insurance coverage to provide benefits that support beneficial lifestyle changes and disease prevention.” Initial Focal Points Childhood chronic disease is the first mountain the Commission is directed to climb, hopefully dismantling it on the way up. The plan is to investigate “any potential contributing causes, including the American diet, absorption of toxic material, medical treatments, lifestyle, environmental factors, Government policies, food production techniques, electromagnetic radiation, and corporate influence or cronyism[.]” Transparency of all data and “unpublished analyses” related to the investigations “consistent with applicable law” suggests we’re going to get another front-row seat to the revelations of what’s been in our food, water, soil, and eventually into our bodies. Wisconsin Could Control America If Voters Stay Home In April 2025

Wisconsin voters have the potential to decide the fate of all Americans in April, a situation finally getting some of the attention it deserves (but probably not enough). Voters in Wisconsin will head to the polls on April 1 to decide the ideological balance of the state’s Supreme Court, which could have a direct impact on every future presidential election. The “highly consequential” race will further dictate the future of issues such as life, religious freedom, as well as election integrity, and more. The current balance in Wisconsin’s Supreme Court is a 4-3 liberal majority after Justice Janet Protasiewicz won in 2023. Justice Ann Walsh Bradley is officially retiring her position, allowing for either an even balance or a significant liberal majority to dictate the future of Wisconsin’s legislation, according to Breitbart. “It’s probably going to be just as competitive as the last couple of presidential and gubernatorial elections and Senate elections here,” said former Wisconsin Republican Gov. Scott Walker, according to NBC News. Though the race is supposed to be nonpartisan, Walked noted the situation is promised to “reach a level that much more like what you see in partisan elections.” Who Are The Candidates? Left-wing billionaires like George Soros, Silicon Valley’s Reid Hoffman, and more, are pouring millions into Dane County Circuit Court judge Susan Crawford. “I believe people in Wisconsin deserve to feel safe as they go about their lives…My top priority in making decisions is always to make our communities safer,” said Crawford of her policies, according to Ballotpedia. Other liberal judges have also endorsed Crawford’s campaign. The Milwaukee Police Association officially endorsed Waukesha County Circuit court judge Brad Schimel’s campaign. He says he’s running to “restore confidence in the people of Wisconsin that the justice system will be fair and impartial…I will be honest about my principles, but will never prejudge a case.” Support is rolling into both campaigns, including $1 million from a group with ties to technology billionaire Elon Musk, according to Politico. Why This Matters To People Outside Of Wisconsin “Wisconsin is the only state that was one of the closest three margins in the last three Presidential elections. It was critical in deciding who became president each of the last three elections.  The margins have been by less than 30,000 with over 3,000,000 votes cast,” Million Voices’ John Graves explains. “The four liberal justices overruled the three conservative justices after the liberal took over the court in 2023, and reversed the ruling on drop boxes and other critical election integrity rulings. That’s why it’s the most important state right now, and that’s why this election is so important.” The Wisconsin election isn’t just about what happens for state residents. The issues that matter most to you ultimately, as they trickle upwards from the local level, end up in the hands of those who run this nation. Wisconsin basically chooses the president every four years. Do you want policies related to noncitizen voting, ballot drop boxes, and more, to be part of Wisconsin’s electoral system? It is essential to tell your friends, family, pastor, anyone you know who may have ties to Wisconsin, to get out and vote in April. We’ll be bringing you the latest updates on the races, so be sure to share them with your kin. Read more from Million Voices and get your Wisconsin Voter Guide! Explore more from The Modern Memo.

EXCLUSIVE: State Law Could Cut Food Costs With Overhaul Of Farming, Agricultural Industry

This article was originally published by Million Voices.  North Carolina Republican State Rep. Neal Jackson introduced House Bill 62 on Wednesday (Feb. 19), which aims to protect farmers from financial discrimination based on their use of environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices. ESG probably isn’t the first thing you think of when you’re looking at the cost of food in today’s America. In recent weeks, we asked our partners and newsletter subscribers to start sending us comments on the key issues impacting their day-to-day lives. Cost-of-living and the price of food and fuel was by far the most notable issue. Did you know that ESG — essentially “pro-climate” policies — are one of the main reasons many people believe we have “rising prices and smother[ed] innovation,” according to the HB 62’s sponsors, the Carolina Journal noted. “I am proud to sponsor HB 62 the Farmers Protection Act. This bill is a step in the right direction for North Carolina. Rather than using ESG ratings that have proven to be disastrous on the international stage, banks in our state should return to evaluating loans based on financial indicators. North Carolina’s agriculture industry is vital to our state’s success, and we cannot allow misguided policies to hold back our farmers,” Jackson told Million Voices. What Does The Bill Include? “It is unlawful for any bank to deny or cancel service to any agriculture producer based, in whole or in part, upon the agriculture producer’s greenhouse gas emissions, use of fossil-fuel derived fertilizer, or use of fossil fuel-powered machinery,” the bill states. “If a bank has made any ESG commitment related to agriculture, there is a rebuttable presumption that the bank’s denial or restriction of service to an agriculture producer violates this section. A bank may overcome this rebuttable presumption, by demonstrating through clear and convincing evidence, that its denial or restriction of a service was based solely on documented financial considerations rather than an ESG commitment.” If passed, it will be interesting to see how this bill shapes up to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s focus on ending chronic illness — also at the source: our food and the chemicals we use to grow and distribute it around the country. Then again, as many of the world’s major academic and scientific institutions have been “captured” by corporate interests, it could be that the science on the environment and our climate will also change rapidly throughout the Trump administration’s time in office. “When applied to agriculture, ESG principles drive restrictive policies and financial practices that penalize farmers for operating in ways that have sustained the sector for generations,” Center for Food policy analyst Kelly Lester said of the legislation. “These include requirements to reduce emissions, adopt renewable energy, and avoid certain farming practices deemed environmentally harmful. The real-world application of these goals burdens farmers with excessive costs and compliance requirements, often with little respect for the unique challenges of agriculture.” “Agriculture is one of the most crucial industries to the North Carolina economy,” Jackson said of the bill, per CJ. “Unfortunately, farmers in our state have encountered challenges obtaining financing by some of the larger lending institutions who have determined that farming does not align with their organization’s carbon or social goals. The Farmers Protection Act ensures that there is no discrimination against NC farmers based upon a radical ESG philosophy.” Does Your State Support Its Agricultural Community? Unlike money, a huge amount of our food actually does grow on trees — and roams in fields, flourishes in our soils, and soars above us in our skies — and America has all the land it needs to produce all the food we need. But each state and its unique environment requires local knowledge to get the best out of God’s green Earth. “Europe provides a cautionary tale for ESG agricultural policies,” said John Locke Foundation’s Brooke Medina, according to CJ. “Aggressive climate policies in the Netherlands have driven many farmers to the brink of bankruptcy, with the possibly disastrous consequences of food shortages and economic collapse. This should serve as a warning for US policymakers, that ESG regulations could lead to the same dire outcomes.” Explore more of The Modern Memo by clicking here.

Oh No, Millennials Were Right! Experts Say Childhood Trauma May Be ‘Hidden Root’ Of Disease, Suffering And Addiction

A series of posts shared on X in mid-February 2025 outline the core findings of Dr. Gabor Maté’s research into childhood trauma, and how it may be responsible for a huge amount of humanity’s physical suffering. Throw a rock in a crowded room of people aged fifty and younger, and you’ve an almost a hundred percent chance of hitting someone with childhood trauma (unresolved or otherwise). Understanding how childhood events shape our mindset is a relatively well-documented field of science. Your parents are emotionally unavailable alcoholics? You’re probably going to be just like them, or you’re going to work your butt off to get the heck away from them as soon as you can. Survived a car crash as a 10-year-old? Perhaps you get nervous with certain types of drivers. It is laughably obvious that childhood events, particularly the big, bad, scary ones, shape our behaviors in adulthood. But what if these events do much, much more than dictate our emotional and practical response? What is trauma and why is it so dangerous? Trauma isn’t just defined as things like surviving war. Examples of potentially health-impacting trauma include things like emotional neglect, being subjected to constant criticism, or even just growing up with emotionally unavailable parents, according to posts from therapist Brian Maierhofer, Maté’s research. All of these things can leave a “lasting imprint” on your body, particularly the nervous system, which ultimately shapes health. This type of trauma, especially when repeated to the point of borderline normalization, often leaves us feeling numb — or “disconnected” from ourselves. You cannot heal when you don’t know yourself, what you truly want, and exist with “chronic self doubt.” 2: Trauma makes you disconnect—from yourself, others, and your body. Survivors of trauma often experience: • Feeling emotionally numb • Not knowing what they truly want • Chronic self-doubt Healing means reconnecting with your body, emotions, and true self. pic.twitter.com/56WRXO1895 — Brian Maierhofer (@IamProHuman) February 11, 2025 Adapting to Survive Here’s where Maté’s research gets really crazy. Meinhofer’s analysis reveals that childhood coping mechanisms eventually turn into adult symptoms of unresolved trauma. If you’re a people-pleaser, your inner child is still searching for love and approval. Do you numb your emotions? You may be avoiding pain. Overachievers are terrified of still not being good enough. The patterns of abuse — intended or otherwise — ” don’t disappear—they turn into chronic stress, burnout, and addiction.” 3: Your childhood coping mechanisms become your adult symptoms. As a child, you needed to adapt to survive. • People-pleasing? Came from needing love & approval. • Numbing emotions? Came from avoiding pain. • Overachieving? Came from fear of not being good enough. These… pic.twitter.com/KgbKEQISKY — Brian Maierhofer (@IamProHuman) February 11, 2025 Let’s get physical … Unfortunately, you can’t “think” your way out of your trauma. It is stored inside of your body. Childhood trauma is physical. If you don’t work through these internal crises, you risk damaging your brain and body. This trauma is powerful enough to pass through generations, and will continue if you let it. Pastor Mark Driscoll gave a beautiful sermon on this exact issue in which he described how letting the unhealthiest member of your family dictate your lives, you will ensure that person sets the tone and control for your familial misery (we’re paraphrasing here). In layman’s terms: if grandma is a crazy mean old lady, maybe don’t drag your spouse and kids to her house whenever she demands? You’ll just make your spouse and kids resent you for not protecting them from your grandma’s unhealed issues. Maté takes this a step further, showing how trauma like this passes down physical issues to your kin. (POPULAR ARTICLE: ‘Separation Of Church And State Is So Stupid’: National Radio Host Joe Pags Goes Off) Right now, as you’re reading this, your unhealed childhood trauma is impacting your children. It will impact your grandchildren. This cycle will continue until someone powerful enough in your lineage stands up and says “no more.” Ending the cycle of self-sabotage As Maierhofer described: “If your nervous system is wired for stress, peace will feel unfamiliar. You might: Chase toxic relationships Overwork to feel “enough” Procrastinate out of fear These aren’t character flaws—they’re trauma imprints.” There is no excuse for inaction You can rewrite the impacts of childhood trauma on your nervous system at any age, Maierhofer argued. There is no excuse to let the cycle of misery continue if you don’t want it to; healing trauma starts with teaching your body how to be safe again.
