Al-Qaida Issues Fresh Attack Warnings Against U.S. Cities

Al-Qaida Threat Prompts Federal Warning to Law Enforcement

Al-Qaida Isn’t Done With America More than twenty years after the 9/11 attack, Al-Qaida is reminding the world it’s still out there. A new report from the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), the group and its Yemen-based branch, Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), are once again urging attacks inside the United States. The report, intended to inform law enforcement, warns that this “highlights its persistent and enduring threat to the country, US officials, and public safety.” What makes this alarming is that AQAP isn’t just another affiliate. It is “the only affiliate to have successfully enabled an attack in the homeland.” That fact makes its propaganda especially concerning for law enforcement and security officials. (MORE NEWS: Utah Arrests: Explosive Device Found Under Fox News Vehicle) Propaganda Made for America In July 2025, AQAP released the 10th edition of its Inspire Guide. Written in English, the magazine was clearly designed to reach people inside the U.S. The NCTC report notes that it “celebrated recent attacks in the US and called on its supporters in the homeland to conduct attacks, using simple attack methods, such as firearms, explosives, knives, vehicle-rammings, or Molotov cocktails.” The guide didn’t stop at methods. It pointed out “that proper targets were individuals or organizations that support Israel, as well as law enforcement and the government.” It also added that large protests or civil disturbances could be used as cover for terrorism. In short, it gave a blueprint to anyone angry enough to act. Al-Qaida Leadership Pushes Harder This isn’t just propaganda magazines. The group’s leaders are putting their voices directly behind these threats. In June, AQAP leader Sa’d Atif al-Aulaqi released a video titled Inciting the Believers. In it, he called for attacks against “the US President, Vice President, Secretaries of Defense and State, members of Congress, their families, and at least one private US citizen.” His justification was chilling. Aulaqi urged revenge and declared that “reciprocity is legitimate,” adding there was “no distinction between civilian and military targets.” That statement signals a wide-open call to violence with no boundaries. (MORE NEWS: BREAKING: Charlie Kirk Memorial: Armed Man ID’d at Stadium) The group released another Inspire Guide in June, focused on what it called “A Message Beyond Bullets: Attack on the Jewish Capital Museum in Washington, D.C.” The article encouraged lone actors in America to carry out violence. Intelligence officials believe it was an attempt to exploit anger over the killing of two Israeli Embassy employees in May. Same Old Playbook If this all sounds familiar, it should. The NCTC report points out that “many of the suggested target themes in recent al-Qa‘ida threats are consistent with the group’s post 9/11 attack plots in the homeland.” Aviation, symbolic or economic sites, U.S. government and military facilities, and public spaces all remain at the top of the terror group’s list. For example, AQAP tried to bomb planes in 2010 by hiding explosives in printer cartridges. In 2009, the so-called “underwear bomber” nearly took down a flight to Detroit after being trained by AQAP leaders. And of course, the most infamous example remains September 11, 2001, when nearly 3,000 people were killed in coordinated hijackings. This recycling of themes shows that while tactics may change, the targets haven’t. Al-Qaida knows what creates panic and draws headlines, and it hasn’t forgotten. U.S. Officials Step Up Warnings The recent spike in threats prompted the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the NCTC to push new information to federal, state, and local law enforcement. Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, Joe Kent posted on X stay vigilant: The ODNI press release emphasized that cooperation between the intelligence community and law enforcement “has never been stronger.” It credited President Trump’s policies, saying they “have ensured that America is more prepared than ever to respond to and address any threat directly, rapidly, and with strategic coordination.” NCTC Director Joe Kent underscored the urgency: “The relentless pursuit of our enemies means clearly defining and understanding them… Constant vigilance includes guarding our borders and ensuring our communities are informed. We have the knowledge and leadership to keep America safe.” He noted that NCTC and its partners are monitoring “24/7 to thwart these attacks and keep Americans safe.” What This Means for Communities For law enforcement, the message is clear: stay alert, share intelligence quickly, and be ready for lone actors who may move without warning. For communities, it’s a reminder that crowded places like airports, major events, and symbolic public spaces can still attract attention from terrorists. Event organizers and local officials need to plan security with these low-tech attack methods in mind. While nobody wants daily life to feel locked down, balancing openness with protection is essential in today’s environment. The Bottom Line Al-Qaida hasn’t gone anywhere. AQAP is blasting out English propaganda, its leader is urging violence against U.S. officials and civilians, and its guides are eyeing protests and public gatherings as targets. In other words, the group is recycling old tactics for a new audience. The NCTC put it plainly: “Al-Qa‘ida’s resurgence of calls for attacks in the homeland highlights its persistent and enduring threat to the country, US officials, and public safety.” That’s why the response cannot be passive. America won’t look away. Vigilance is more than a strategy—it’s survival. And as long as terrorists call for blood, the United States will meet them with strength, unity, and an unshakable resolve to protect its people. Expose the Spin. Shatter the Narrative. Speak the Truth. At The Modern Memo, we don’t cover politics to play referee — we swing a machete through the spin, the double-speak, and the partisan theater. While the media protects the powerful and buries the backlash, we dig it up and drag it into the light. If you’re tired of rigged narratives, selective outrage, and leaders who serve themselves, not you — then share this. Expose the corruption. Challenge the agenda. Because if we don’t fight for the truth, no one will. And that fight starts with…

Charlie Kirk Memorial: Armed Man ID’d at Stadium

BREAKING: Charlie Kirk Memorial: Armed Man ID’d at Stadium

Authorities arrested an armed man at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, just days before thousands are expected to gather for the Charlie Kirk memorial service. The man, identified as 42-year-old Joshua Runkles, was in fact working as guest security for the event but had not properly coordinated with the Secret Service. “We do not believe this person was attempting anything nefarious,” Turning Point USA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet posted on X. Even so, his arrest has heightened awareness around security as the nation prepares to honor Kirk. I want to add a note of clarity here. This individual was doing advance security for a known guest planning to attend the memorial service tomorrow. We do not believe this person was attempting anything nefarious, however the advance was not done in proper coordination with the… https://t.co/i6YvnMUog1 — Andrew Kolvet (@AndrewKolvet) September 20, 2025 The Arrest Law enforcement intervened after spotting behavior that raised concern. Runkles was carrying several weapons, including a firearm and multiple knives, and presented expired law enforcement credentials. He explained that he was on-site as part of a private security detail, but officials noted he had not gone through proper channels with the Secret Service. Officers moved quickly to detain him before he could access areas that were still being locked down for the memorial. He was booked into the Maricopa County Jail and later released on bond. Investigators are still piecing together what happened. Heightened Security Charlie Kirk’s memorial is expected to draw more than 100,000 attendees, including former President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and many other political leaders. Because of the size of the gathering and its national importance, the Department of Homeland Security designated it a Level-1 Special Event Assessment Rating. That is the highest security classification possible, reserved for events such as presidential inaugurations and major national ceremonies. This designation means extraordinary precautions are in place. Security teams have set up multiple checkpoints, metal detectors, and no-bag policies. Hundreds of officers from local, state, and federal agencies will work together to maintain order. Aerial surveillance will monitor crowds from above, while plainclothes agents will move among attendees. Authorities are also using intelligence-sharing systems to track any potential risks in real time. Why It Matters The arrest highlights the ongoing risks facing large public gatherings in today’s political climate. With tensions running high after Kirk’s tragic death earlier this month, even small disruptions could have dangerous consequences. Unauthorized armed individuals not only put attendees at risk but also raise concerns for the safety of dignitaries and officials. In this case, Runkles was working as guest security but had not obtained the necessary Secret Service credentials. Carrying multiple weapons and presenting expired law enforcement credentials created confusion and raised alarms among authorities. Investigators are now focused on understanding how the lapse occurred and ensuring tighter coordination so that similar breaches cannot happen again. A Nation on Edge Charlie Kirk’s death in Utah shook millions of Americans. The young conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA was gunned down in a shocking act of political violence. His memorial service is not only a chance to honor his life but also a moment for the nation to reflect on the cost of division and hostility. (RELATED NEWS: AOC Slams Charlie Kirk with Scathing House Floor Comments) Many who plan to attend see the gathering as a public stand for faith, family, and the values Kirk spent his life defending. But the heightened security shows that public events, especially those with symbolic importance, are now potential flashpoints. Communities across the country are grappling with how to balance free expression and public safety in an era of rising tension. What Comes Next Officials are reassessing screening procedures to prevent similar lapses in the future. At the time of Runkles’ arrest, full security protocols for the memorial had not yet been activated. Protective fencing and additional barriers were only installed today. Guests should prepare for longer wait times at checkpoints and restrictions on personal items. There is also a no bag policy in force, similar to other large events. These precautions may be inconvenient, but they are necessary to protect lives and preserve the integrity of the service. There is a strict No Bag Policy for tomorrow’s memorial service for Charlie This includes purses, backpacks, and even clear bags Security WILL be enforcing this and you will have to go to the back Share this to prevent any confusion tomorrow with staff just doing their jobs — Jack Poso 🇺🇸 (@JackPosobiec) September 20, 2025 Honoring Charlie Kirk As investigators continue their work, the nation’s attention turns to honoring the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk. His leadership, advocacy, and passion for civic engagement inspired countless young people. For his supporters, the memorial is not just a farewell but a call to continue the work he championed. (RELATED NEWS: Charlie Kirk: A Patriot Remembered, A Legacy Unbroken) This situation is a sobering reminder of the threats that come with standing boldly in the public square. Yet it also underscores why Kirk’s message mattered so deeply. He spoke about courage in the face of opposition, and that message now resonates more strongly than ever. The Final Word The events in Glendale reveal the challenges of hosting a national memorial in a time of division and unrest. But they also highlight the determination of law enforcement to safeguard Americans as they gather to mourn. With strong security measures in place, Charlie Kirk’s memorial will go forward as planned. In moments like this, unity and vigilance matter most. Security scares should not overshadow the purpose of the day: to remember a life lost too soon and to recommit to a vision of America that values faith, truth, and freedom. Update:…

California Volleyball Clash Over Transgender Athletes

California Volleyball Clash Over Transgender Athletes

California is once again in the spotlight, and not for the right reasons. The state’s policies on transgender athletes are creating conflict after conflict, and this time, volleyball is at the center of the storm. Families, students, and coaches are speaking out, saying the rules don’t prioritize fairness or safety. A High School Girl Forced Out of the Game At Jurupa Valley High School, senior Hadeel Hazameh walked away from volleyball. Why? Because she says she spent three years sharing a locker room with a biological male. For her, that wasn’t just uncomfortable—it violated her faith and her rights. She filed a lawsuit, joined by teammate Alyssa McPherson, who is Catholic and says she faced the same struggle. Both of these brave young women argue that girls shouldn’t have to compromise their beliefs, their privacy, or their safety just to play sports. Their lawsuit names the school district, the California Interscholastic Federation, and the Department of Education. They’re asking for what should be common sense: fairness and respect for girls. She is also calling out Gavin Newsom for doing nothing to help… pic.twitter.com/I4qQhF4UKx — Jackson Thompson (@JackThompsonFOX) September 17, 2025 College Teams Caught in the Same Fight This isn’t only happening in high school gyms. At Santa Rosa Junior College, players filed a Title IX complaint after a transgender athlete joined the women’s volleyball team. One player says she got a concussion after taking a spike to the head. Another says she was injured, too, according to Fox News. These aren’t small scrapes—these are serious safety concerns. Two junior college women’s volleyball players in California allege they witnessed a transgender teammate give a concussion to a female player with a spike to the head, and one of them took one of the athlete’s spikes to the face herself. pic.twitter.com/tgksH60i7u — Jackson Thompson (@JackThompsonFOX) September 9, 2025 At San Jose State University, teammates say a biological male played on the women’s team for three years. They claim nobody told them the truth. In a lawsuit, player Brooke Slusser alleges that she was never told that her teammate, later identified as Blaire Fleming, is a biological male. For example: She says she moved into an apartment (with teammates including Fleming) and shared a room without knowing this. The lawsuit claims she only learned the truth toward the end of a season after overhearing non-team members referring to Fleming as “a dude.” Slusser also claims that Fleming asked to room with her, and that school officials assigned them to share rooms (on road trips), without disclosing Fleming’s birth sex. The case has now triggered a federal Title IX investigation. That’s how big this problem has become. (MORE NEWS: Skipping Coverage: The New Trend Among Young Adults) Why Girls Are Pushing Back The issue comes down to three simple points: fairness, safety, and faith. Girls are tired of being told to “just deal with it” when they’re asked to compete against transgender biological males. They know the physical differences aren’t erased by changing paperwork. Volleyball is a fast and powerful game, and the risk of injury is a real concern. Then there’s the matter of faith and privacy. Hazameh and McPherson both say their beliefs demand modesty. They shouldn’t be forced into locker rooms with males to keep their spot on the team. That’s not equality—it’s coercion. What Leaders Are (and Aren’t) Doing Governor Gavin Newsom admits it’s unfair for males to compete in female sports. Yet, when it comes time to act, he punts. His office says the policy was passed years ago under Jerry Brown and that the athletic federation and education department run independently. That excuse doesn’t fly with parents and students who want action now. Hazameh spoke out on Newsom’s lack of action: “If our governor himself says that it’s unfair, then he’s the one who should act on it… he should be the one to stand up, it shouldn’t have to be girls like me and Alyssa who have to forfeit in order to make a stand that this isn’t right… If you’re not going to do anything, then what are you here to do if you’re not here to make America better?” Saying the policy is wrong while leaving it untouched is like acknowledging the house is on fire and refusing to pick up a hose. Lawmakers Take a Pass Earlier this year, lawmakers had a chance to fix this. Two bills were introduced that would have stopped males from competing in girls’ sports. Both failed. Every Democrat voted them down. Some even compared the effort to historic oppression—ignoring the real oppression of girls losing their teams, their safety, and their voices. The message to families was clear: politics came before protecting daughters. And people are taking note. (MORE NEWS: Rising Socialism Exposes the Democratic Party’s Identity Crisis) Title IX: A Law Turned Upside Down Title IX was written to protect opportunities for women. It opened doors, built teams, and gave generations of girls the chance to compete. Now, that law is being twisted into something unrecognizable. Instead of protecting female athletes, it’s being used to justify rules that put them at a disadvantage. That’s why so many families are filing lawsuits. They’re asking the courts to restore the original intent of Title IX—to protect women, not erase them. What’s Next California is heading toward a reckoning. Lawsuits regarding transgender athletes are piling up. Federal investigations are underway. Parents are demanding change. And girls are speaking out louder than ever. The pressure is building, and leaders won’t be able to dodge the issue forever. The question is simple: will California protect the rights of girls, or will it continue to sacrifice them on the altar of ideology? Families know what’s at stake—privacy, safety, and the basic fairness that sports are supposed to be built…

ABC Affiliates Push Back: Nexstar and Sinclair Preempt Jimmy Kimmel Over Charlie Kirk Comments

Nexstar Media Group, one of the largest television station operators in the United States, announced that its ABC affiliates would indefinitely preempt Jimmy Kimmel Live! beginning September 17, 2025. The move comes after host Jimmy Kimmel made remarks about the assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk. Nexstar stated that Kimmel’s comments were offensive, insensitive, and harmful to the national political conversation. (RELATED NEWS: Kimmel’s Italian Citizenship: Turning Away From America) According to Nexstar President Andrew Alford, continuing to air Kimmel would undermine the company’s commitment to respectful and constructive dialogue. Instead of broadcasting the late-night show, Nexstar affiliates will replace it with other programming more consistent with the values of their local communities. Sinclair Follows and Escalates Just hours later, Sinclair Broadcast Group, the nation’s largest ABC affiliate operator, issued its own announcement. Sinclair said it would also indefinitely preempt Jimmy Kimmel Live! across its stations. But Sinclair went a step further, calling on ABC and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to take additional action. Vice Chairman Jason Smith emphasized that broadcasters have a responsibility to elevate respectful discourse and that Kimmel’s comments failed that standard. Sinclair noted that ABC had already suspended production of Jimmy Kimmel Live! following internal discussions. Still, Sinclair said suspension was not enough. The company demanded more accountability before the show would return to its airwaves. (MORE NEWS: Rising Socialism Exposes the Democratic Party’s Identity Crisis) pic.twitter.com/iMedHkjFqa — Sinclair, Inc. (@WeAreSinclair) September 18, 2025 A Special Tribute to Charlie Kirk To underline its position, Sinclair announced it will air a special in remembrance of Charlie Kirk this Friday during Kimmel’s usual timeslot. The special will run across Sinclair’s ABC affiliates and also on its other stations over the weekend. In addition, Sinclair is offering the special broadcast to all ABC affiliates nationwide, ensuring Kirk’s memory and message reach a wide audience. By doing so, Sinclair underscores that its programming choices reflect community standards and the expectation of professionalism in broadcast media. Demanding Accountability from Jimmy Kimmel Sinclair went beyond programming changes. The company called on Jimmy Kimmel personally to apologize to the Kirk family. They also requested that he make a meaningful personal donation to both the Kirk family and Turning Point USA, the organization Charlie Kirk founded. Sinclair made clear that until such steps are taken, and until ABC provides stronger assurances about the future tone and standards of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the program will not return to their stations. The network emphasized that a national broadcast platform carries significant responsibility, and viewers deserve programming that does not inflame division in the wake of tragedy. A Coordinated Industry Push The twin moves by Nexstar and Sinclair highlight how powerful affiliate groups can exert influence over network programming. Together, Nexstar and Sinclair represent hundreds of stations across the country, giving them substantial reach. Their coordinated action sends a strong signal to ABC and Disney, the parent company, that local broadcasters expect national shows to align with community values. While late-night talk shows often traffic in sharp commentary, this controversy demonstrates that there are limits. Affiliates, which rely heavily on community trust and local relationships, are unwilling to air content they believe crosses those boundaries—especially at a time of national grief. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr talks with Sean Hannity: “Broadcasters are different from any other form of communication, including here on cable right now. Fox News doesn’t have an FCC license, CNN doesn’t, but ABC, CBS, and NBC—those broadcast stations do. And with that license comes a unique obligation to operate in the public interest. President Trump ran directly at these legacy broadcast outlets and exposed them to market forces, and a lot of these affiliate groups said, ‘We are tired of carrying this stuff.’ There’s more work to do, but I’m very glad to see that American broadcasters are standing up to serve the interests of their communities.” FCC Chairman Brendan Carr weighs in after ABC pulls Jimmy Kimmel off the airwaves “Broadcasters are different from any other form of communication, including here on cable right now. As audiences fragment and trust in institutions declines, local broadcasters are positioning themselves as guardians of community standards. By taking a firm stand, they seek to reassure viewers that their platforms will not be used to mock or diminish tragedy. This also places pressure on ABC and Disney. If two of the largest affiliate operators refuse to carry Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the show’s national reach could be significantly reduced. That reality forces the network to decide whether it will adjust its programming strategy or risk a prolonged standoff with its affiliates. A Crossroads for Late-Night Television The fallout from Kimmel’s remarks comes at a time when late-night shows are already under scrutiny. Ratings have declined, and streaming platforms have eroded their once-dominant position in American culture. The controversy over Charlie Kirk’s death may accelerate that trend, especially if viewers see late-night comedy as out of step with national sentiment. By contrast, the special programming planned by Sinclair signals a potential shift. Instead of late-night comedy, millions of viewers may see a tribute to a conservative leader who shaped political conversations for a generation. That decision could resonate deeply with audiences and set a precedent for how affiliates handle future controversies. The Road Ahead For now, Nexstar and Sinclair have made it clear: Jimmy Kimmel Live! isn’t coming back to their stations anytime soon. ABC’s suspension may buy them a little time, but affiliates aren’t interested in a band-aid. They want accountability. Will Jimmy Kimmel do the right thing? Or will he dig in, knowing Hollywood will circle the wagons around him no matter how horrible his words were? One thing is certain: late-night television just hit a turning point. The era of coasting on cheap shots and…

Utah Arrests: Explosive Device Found Under News Vehicle

Utah Arrests: Explosive Device Found Under Fox News Vehicle

Utah is once again in the national spotlight, and not for the reasons anyone would want. Not even a week after the shocking assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk during a campus event at Utah Valley University, federal agents have now arrested two men accused of planting an explosive device under a FOX 13 News vehicle in Magna. The timing of these incidents has left many asking: What is going on in Utah? The Incident in Magna According to FOX 13, one of their employees noticed something unusual under their station vehicle. Police and bomb squads rushed to the scene and confirmed the object was a functioning incendiary device. Investigators later said it had been lit but failed to explode. Even so, the vehicle was parked next to an occupied building, meaning the risk wasn’t just to the station—it was to the entire neighborhood. Nearby homes were evacuated, and specialized bomb technicians disabled the device. What could have been a devastating explosion ended instead with a massive FBI investigation. Adeeb Nasir, 58, and Adil Justice Ahmed Nasir, 31, were arrested in Magna, Utah, after their bomb placed under a FOX 13 News vehicle failed to detonate. Court documents state they lived together in the home where the FBI executed a search warrant. (RELATED NEWS: Charlie Kirk Murder Suspect Tyler Robinson Arrested) Inside, investigators reportedly found more than just one device. Authorities say they discovered firearms, explosive materials, electronic evidence, narcotics, and even what the suspects claimed were weapons of mass destruction. That expanded the charges far beyond a single crime scene. An upside-down American flag and political signs were found in the yard. The far left refers to President Trump as “Taco.” Both men now face federal counts of terrorism threats, possession of explosives, and possession of weapons of mass destruction. They are being held without bail. Press Freedom at Risk The attack on a news outlet carries broader implications. Journalists are often on the front lines of covering news stories. If they become targets themselves, the ripple effects could be chilling. Reporters may feel less safe covering controversial stories, and the public could end up less informed. FOX 13 issued a statement to ABC News emphasizing that employee safety is their top priority, and the station is working with law enforcement and risk management teams to protect staff. Their response underscores the reality that the media landscape has become more dangerous in recent years. Law Enforcement’s Role In both the Kirk assassination and the Magna bomb case, law enforcement acted quickly. Police, FBI agents, and bomb squads coordinated to neutralize threats and bring suspects into custody. The speed of their response undoubtedly prevented further harm. Officials are now under pressure to not only prosecute these crimes but also reassure the public that Utah is not becoming a new hub for politically charged violence. What’s Next The Nasirs will face federal prosecution. Investigators will likely present evidence from the search of their home, including explosive components and digital devices, to show intent and capability. Motive, however, remains unclear. (MORE NEWS: London: 100K Rally-Goers Unite Against Mass Immigration) As for the broader picture, Utah residents are left to grapple with unsettling questions. Was the FOX 13 incident a result of the climate that produced the Kirk assassination? Is Utah now at the center of a larger trend of political anger spilling into violence? Takeaway In less than a week, two headline-grabbing incidents have made one thing clear: violence against political leaders and the free press is becoming a weapon of intimidation. The assassination of Charlie Kirk and the attempted bombing of FOX 13 News both send the same message—those who speak out are now targets. The Magna arrests may have prevented another tragedy, but they are also a warning. Communities, media outlets, and political organizations are left wondering how to protect themselves in an environment that feels increasingly unstable. The question is no longer if another incident will happen, but how much deeper this spiral of political violence will cut into the heart of American life. Expose the Spin. Shatter the Narrative. Charlie Kirk Murder Suspect Tyler Robinson Arrested

BREAKING: Charlie Kirk Murder Suspect Tyler Robinson Arrested

President Donald Trump was the first to reveal that a suspect, Tyler Robinson, 22, has been taken into custody in the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. He broke the news on Fox & Friends. Trump told the nation that investigators had captured the man believed responsible for the deadly shooting at Utah Valley University. According to authorities, the suspect confessed the murder to a family member. He is not a student of Utah Valley University. Trump announces the arrest Trump used his morning interview to deliver the news that many had been waiting for. “I think, with a high degree of certainty, we have him in custody,” he said. According to Trump, the suspect was recognized by someone close to him: “Somebody that was very close to him said, ‘hmm, that’s him.’” Fox News later confirmed the suspect’s identity. (RELATED NEWS: Charlie Kirk: A Patriot Remembered, A Legacy Unbroken) President Trump didn’t hold back his emotions, praising Kirk as a remarkable leader and calling for the strongest possible punishment. “What he did, Charlie Kirk was the finest person, he didn’t deserve this,” Trump said. He added, “I hope he’s going to be found guilty, I would imagine. And I hope he gets the death penalty.” The shocking attack The shooting took place while Kirk was speaking outdoors at Utah Valley University in Orem. Roughly 20 minutes into his remarks, a single shot from the roof of the Losee Center struck him in the neck. Witnesses described a scene of panic as students and attendees ran for cover. Kirk was rushed to Timpanogos Regional Hospital, but he later died from his injuries. His killing sent shockwaves across the country and quickly drew comparisons to a political assassination. The investigation Law enforcement launched an immediate manhunt, locking down the campus and scouring the rooftop area where the shot originated. Investigators recovered a high-powered rifle and physical evidence including footprints and palm prints. Two people were briefly detained earlier in the week but were later cleared of involvement. Federal agents and Utah police worked day and night following leads, reviewing surveillance footage, and interviewing witnesses. Their efforts culminated in the arrest that Trump broke to the public. Political and public response Utah Governor Spencer Cox condemned the murder as a political assassination and pledged that those responsible would be brought to justice. The FBI has maintained a visible presence in the area, asking the public for tips and offering a reward for information. For Kirk’s supporters, the arrest marks the first sign of justice in a case that has shaken faith in public safety at campus events. Trump’s decision to break the news himself reflects both the seriousness of the crime and Kirk’s influence within the conservative movement. What comes next Officials are expected to release more details soon about Tyler Robinson, potential motives, and pending charges. Court proceedings will likely draw intense national attention, as the murder of Charlie Kirk has already become one of the most high-profile political crimes in recent memory. For now, Trump’s announcement brings a turning point in the investigation. It signals the end of the manhunt and the beginning of the legal battle to hold the killer accountable. Charlie Kirk: A Patriot Remembered, A Legacy Unbroken

Note From the Editor I have to admit, I struggled to find the right words—even the right title—in this time of grief. Not just my own grief, but grief for our nation. What do you say about Charlie Kirk—a man who made such an impact on the culture and future of America? Especially at only 31 years old. He did what few could do. He found the heart of what needed to be changed for liberty to thrive and for our country to survive. And he didn’t just talk about it—he lived it. So this is not just another article. It is where we are, how we got here, and where we go from here. I write this with the hope that it honors the courage, faith, and sacrifice that defined Charlie Kirk’s short but extraordinary life. A Patriot’s Legacy: Honoring the Life of Charlie Kirk The sudden and tragic loss of Charlie Kirk has left millions in shock. For his wife Erika and their two young children, the pain is unimaginable. For friends, colleagues, and supporters across the country, his passing feels surreal—like a nightmare from which we cannot wake. Charlie’s death is the Martin Luther King Jr. moment of our time. It is pivotal, not only because of who he was, but because of what his loss represents. His passing has drawn a line in the sand. We cannot go back to the way things were. A Nation Divided His death exposes the deep divisions within our country. Conservatives have long been painted as “radical” and “a danger to democracy.” Politicians and pundits on mainstream networks repeated those words daily, fueling resentment. That rhetoric created an environment where people get killed without a thought, and thousands could celebrate Charlie’s death openly, as if the loss of a young father and husband were something to cheer. But the responsibility does not rest on the left alone. Too often, the right has been complacent—choosing to stay silent rather than confront lies head-on. That silence created space for dangerous narratives to grow. Charlie Kirk refused to be silent. He saw the risks, accepted the threats, and still chose to stand. The great Rush Limbaugh saw the potential in Charlie early on: Rush Limbaugh talked about the first time he met Charlie Kirk! pic.twitter.com/7dreBV1lEQ — Vince Langman (@LangmanVince) September 11, 2025 A Man of Conviction Charlie’s strength was rooted in deep conviction. He carried an intellect far beyond his years. He spent countless hours studying, writing, and speaking. His focus was not personal gain. It was service—to his faith, his country, and to the next generation. The left despised him because he was effective, challenging cultural degeneracy at its core. He spoke openly about marriage, family, civic responsibility, and faith in Christ. He inspired young men and women to build lives grounded in those values. He was a world changer, and his voice carried weight. Courage in the Face of Threats Every time Charlie left home, he carried the burden of risk. He knew the threats were real. Yet he chose to step into arenas filled with opposition because truth mattered more than comfort. His courage made him stand out. He was fearless, willing to take arrows if it meant others would be free to hear truth. Charlie gave everything to his mission, pouring his heart and soul into the fight for America’s future. He worked tirelessly to help President Trump win the presidency, recognizing the pivotal moment for the nation. He left nothing behind. He gave his all. A Legacy Rooted in Faith At the center of Charlie’s life was his love for Jesus Christ. He lived unashamed of the gospel and spoke about it openly. That faith gave him boldness and a perspective that death could never silence. His message was clear: Christian values and family are worth defending. Charlie’s legacy is not only political. It is spiritual. He reignited faith among countless young people who had been told belief in God was outdated. He reminded them that truth is eternal. That family is a gift. That responsibility matters. Voices of Tribute President Trump had a special message to the nation: TO MY GREAT FELLOW AMERICANS… pic.twitter.com/oRsrE5TTHr — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 11, 2025 Bobby Kennedy, who has known the pain of political assassination firsthand, issued a powerful statement: Once again, a bullet has silenced the most eloquent truth teller of an era. His passing marks a turning point. One patriot ended his shift, but thousands more are ready to clock in. The firestorm he lit is ready to roar. The torch has been passed. This generation cannot remain silent. His death must awaken in us the urgency to speak truth boldly, to defend our faith and our families, and to reject fear. Our Call to Action Charlie Kirk’s death calls us to more than grief—it calls us to reflection, courage, and commitment. His sacrifice is a solemn reminder that truth has a cost, and that freedom is never guaranteed. We honor him best not by silence, but by living with the same conviction he carried. In our homes, our churches, and our communities, we must choose to speak truth, defend liberty, and…

LSU Tiger Marching Band Embraces 66-Year-Old Newcomer

LSU Tiger Marching Band Embraces 66-Year-Old Newcomer

A Lifelong Dream Realized Saturday Night Lights look a little different for Kent Broussard. At 66, he traded retirement for rehearsals. The retired accountant became the oldest member ever of the LSU Tiger Marching Band. His story proves that dreams don’t have an expiration date. Broussard was just 9 years old when he started admiring the Golden Band from Tigerland. He imagined himself marching with them but never had the chance. After retiring in 2023, he chose to make it happen. He enrolled at LSU as a student and prepared for the demanding audition process. Training Like a Student Half His Age Joining the marching band was not easy. The group accepts only 325 members each season. Every candidate must pass a rigorous audition. Age offers no shortcuts. Broussard trained for months—running 25 miles a week and lifting weights. He practiced music daily and even managed a full class load to qualify for membership. His dedication worked. He secured a spot and proudly joined the ranks of the Tiger Band. First Steps Onto the Field His debut came during LSU’s football home opener. The halftime show featured music from The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, and Wicked. Broussard marched in perfect time, weaving through complex formations. (MORE NEWS: Diet Soda Speeds Brain Aging, RFK Jr. Targets Additives) The crowd noticed. Fans cheered as he performed. Cameras zoomed in, and his smile lit up the Jumbotron. For Broussard, it was a moment years in the making. LSU band member Kent Broussard shows it’s never too late to make your dreams come true 🥹💜 pic.twitter.com/nEcenBaAZb — ESPN College Football (@ESPNCFB) September 7, 2025 The Tradition of Victory Hill Perhaps the most emotional moment came before kickoff. LSU’s Victory Hill is one of the school’s most beloved traditions. The band, football team, coaches, and Golden Girls parade into the stadium while fans line the street. Broussard walked that hill for the first time, tuba in hand. He described it as one of the most joyful experiences of his life. After decades of dreaming, he finally lived the march he had only watched from the sidelines. Family Reaction and Support Speaking to CBS, Broussard remembered how his wife Cheryl, laughed when he revealed his dream of marching with the band. She recalled: “At first I was like, ‘Do they have like a senior band? I mean, I wasn’t sure what he was exactly talking about. And it was the real band.” Once she saw his determination, she supported him fully. Her laughter turned into pride as she watched him perform. For his family, his achievement is more than music. It is a lesson in perseverance and courage. 66 year old LSU freshman “Tiger Tuba Kent” gets a standing ovation from the crowd 👏 pic.twitter.com/9So93dJ3Ci — Baton Rouge BKM (@BatonRougeBKM) September 7, 2025 Meeting the Standard The LSU Tiger Band holds all members to the same expectations. Director Simon Holoweiko made it clear: no breaks and no special treatment. Every marcher must meet the high standard of the Golden Band. Broussard embraced that challenge. He kept up with rehearsals, drills, and long hours in the Louisiana heat. His success came not from exceptions but from effort. Words to Live By Asked about his journey, Broussard offered wisdom in two simple phrases. “People retire. Dreams don’t.” And, “Your only failure is not trying.” These words resonate beyond the stadium. They serve as motivation for anyone hesitating to pursue a long-held goal. A Legacy of Music and Dedication The Golden Band from Tigerland is more than halftime entertainment. It is a living tradition, founded in 1893. The band plays at every home game, bowl game appearances, and one away game each year. Its marches and music are etched into LSU culture. By joining at age 66, Broussard added a unique note to that history. He became proof that the band’s spirit welcomes all who meet the challenge. Lessons for Everyone Broussard’s story carries lessons far beyond Baton Rouge. It shows that age cannot silence ambition. It proves the value of discipline, preparation, and passion. And it reminds us that the first step—no matter how late—is always worth taking. (MORE NEWS: Insurance Drones: Hidden Home Inspections Spark Backlash) Many people retire and wonder what comes next. Broussard answered that question with a Tuba and a dream. His journey encourages others to think bigger, to try harder, and to believe it’s never too late. Marching Into the Future Now a student once more, Broussard balances classes with rehearsals. He attends lectures, studies for exams, and performs on game days. His journey continues every week as he steps onto the field with his fellow band members. For him, retirement didn’t mean slowing down. It meant starting fresh. It meant proving that determination can rewrite the script at any age. Kent Broussard’s story is not just about music. It is about courage. It is about resilience. And most of all, it is about holding on to a dream until the day you can finally make it real. Forget the narrative. Reject the script. Share what matters. At The Modern Memo, we call it like it is — no filter, no apology, no corporate leash. If you’re tired of being lied to, manipulated, or ignored, amplify the truth. One share at a time, we dismantle the media machine — with facts, boldness, and zero fear. Stand with us. Speak louder. Because silence helps them win.

Trump Announces U.S. Space Command HQ Relocation to Huntsville, Alabama

Trump Announces U.S. Space Command Relocation to Alabama

President Donald Trump announced on September 2, 2025, that the U.S. Space Command headquarters will relocate from Colorado Springs to Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. The move reverses a 2023 order by President Biden and places the command in the heart of a city long tied to America’s space and defense industries. Trump described the decision as both cost-effective and mission-ready, while also promising major benefits for Alabama. From Colorado to “Rocket City” Space Command, or USSPACECOM, has operated from Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado since its revival in 2019. Its mission is to oversee U.S. military operations in space, including satellite defense, missile warning systems, and secure troop communications. In today’s world, those capabilities are vital to both national defense and global deterrence. Trump said Huntsville is the right location for the command’s permanent headquarters. He called it “Rocket City,” a name the city earned through decades of innovation in rockets, missile defense, and space exploration. The presence of NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and the Army’s missile defense programs gives Huntsville deep roots in aerospace and makes it a natural home for Space Command. (MORE NEWS: LAPD Officers Pulled from Duties to Guard Kamala Harris) Why the Move Matters The choice of Huntsville is symbolic and strategic. Trump emphasized that the city has the workforce, infrastructure, and experience to handle the command’s long-term mission. Moving the headquarters there will also reduce costs and centralize military and civilian space operations in a region already tied to national defense. Senator Tommy Tuberville said the move could save nearly $480 million. He also projected that the relocation will create or support more than 30,000 jobs across Alabama, a major economic boost for the state. For local businesses and contractors, the arrival of Space Command will mean expanded opportunities and steady demand for advanced aerospace work. For FOUR YEARS, I have fought to get U.S. Space Command moved to its SELECTED home at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. Thank you, @POTUS and @SecDef, for reversing Joe Biden’s political cronyism and restoring MERIT and INTEGRITY to this process. pic.twitter.com/Gkr5Vp4Uo7 — Coach Tommy Tuberville (@SenTuberville) September 2, 2025 Local Leaders Welcome the Decision Huntsville officials quickly celebrated the announcement. County leaders and the Chamber of Commerce pledged resources to help military families transition into the community. Mayor Tommy Battle said: “This decision is not about what’s best for Huntsville – it’s about being mission-focused. The decision to locate U.S. Space Command at Redstone ensures our nation is prepared to meet growing challenges in space. Huntsville is ready with our experienced workforce, resilient infrastructure and deep commitment to national defense.” The region already has a strong track record of supporting military installations, with Redstone Arsenal serving as one of the Army’s most important hubs. Leaders said the addition of Space Command will strengthen Huntsville’s position as the nation’s defense and space capital. Colorado Pushes Back In Colorado, the reaction was sharply different. Officials warned that losing Space Command would strip the state of more than $1 billion in economic activity. Representative Lauren Boebert argued that the decision would harm military readiness and disrupt thousands of families already based in Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs has hosted Space Command since its return in 2019, and the community invested heavily to support the mission. State and local leaders said the sudden reversal is unfair to residents, contractors, and service members who built lives around the command’s presence there. A Debate Years in the Making The fight over Space Command’s permanent headquarters stretches back nearly five years. In 2021, the Air Force originally selected Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville after a lengthy review. That choice was based on cost, mission readiness, and infrastructure. But in 2023, President Biden reversed the decision, keeping the command in Colorado Springs. He argued that readiness concerns and the need for stability outweighed the benefits of moving. Trump’s new decision returns the command to Alabama and ends a long political tug-of-war. Strategic Importance of Space Command Space Command is one of the newest and most critical pieces of the U.S. military. Its mission extends beyond satellites. It safeguards communication networks, provides missile launch warnings, and ensures that American forces worldwide can operate with secure information. In an era when rivals like China and Russia are expanding their space programs, the command plays a vital role in protecting America’s technological edge. (MORE NEWS: Free Speech Alarm: Farage’s Wake-Up Call to Congress) Huntsville’s combination of military bases, defense companies, and research facilities makes it a powerful location to support that mission. Its decades of experience in missile defense and space development create a strong foundation for the command’s future growth. The Road Ahead Relocating U.S. Space Command won’t be simple, but they are up for the task and ready to go. The move will be phased in over several years. About 1,400 direct jobs are expected to shift to Huntsville, with more positions likely to follow as the command expands. Military planners say this approach will reduce disruption for service members and allow families time to adjust. Alabama leaders promised to support those families with housing, schools, and community programs. They also stressed that the region has the infrastructure to handle the growth, with Redstone Arsenal already hosting thousands of military and civilian workers. Following today’s White House announcement: pic.twitter.com/MvMpvPuqV8 — U.S. Space Command (@US_SpaceCom) September 2, 2025 Final Word The relocation of U.S. Space Command to Huntsville settles years of debate and puts the mission on stronger ground. The move saves money, brings thousands of jobs, and places the command in a city with a proven record in aerospace and defense. Huntsville has the workforce, the infrastructure, and the experience to carry out the mission effectively. With growing threats in space from rivals like China and Russia, the United States needs the best location possible for Space Command. Huntsville provides that advantage, and the decision ensures America is better prepared for the challenges ahead. Expose the Spin. Shatter the Narrative. Speak the Truth. At The Modern…

Minneapolis Shooter: Innocent Lives Lost and a Culture in Crisis

Minneapolis: Innocent Lives Lost and a Culture in Crisis

OPINION The Minneapolis shooter should not be the story here. The story should be about the children who died. Two young lives—10-year-old Harper Moyoski and 8-year-old Fletcher Merkel—were cut short. Eighteen others were wounded, most of them kids. Families grieve, and the community aches. Innocence Stolen Harper and Fletcher should have gone home that night. Instead, their parents have to bury their babies. They are living a nightmare. Fletcher’s father begged in a statement: “Please remember Fletcher for the person he was and not the act that ended his life.” He’s right. The focus should stay on the victims, not the killer. Jesse Merkel, the father of 8-year-old Fletcher Merkel, made the following statement the day after his son’s death: “Yesterday, a coward decided to take our 8-year-old son, Fletcher, away from us. Because of their actions, we will never be allowed to hold him, talk to him, play… pic.twitter.com/d6ZgBmPAEu — FOX 9 (@FOX9) August 28, 2025 A Culture of Confusion — The Real Crisis But the elephant in the room is still there. And no one else will talk about it. The left blames guns and the real story gets ignored. America has built a culture of confusion. Children grow up believing lies: boys can become girls, and girls can become boys. Doctors push the delusion. Allies cheer it on. Parents sign off. Schools celebrate it. Politicians protect it. Innocence disappears. (RELATED NEWS:  Major Hospital Drops Trans Treatments For Kids) No one thinks ahead. What happens when those children grow into adults? The result is devastating. Some never learn how to handle rejection or fail to build emotional strength. Instead of resilience, bitterness takes root. Isolation becomes normal. Enemies appear everywhere. And in the end, a life built on lies collapses under its own weight. This is the real crisis—not guns, but the culture. When reality shatters the fantasy, despair takes over. Some spiral into rage, depression, or violence. Every other mental illness gets treatment. This one gets affirmation. Instead of help, kids get hormones, surgeries, and new names. Then they hit adulthood and realize it was all a lie. The result is addiction, hatred, or, in this and other cases—mass shootings. The Shooter’s Own Words The Minneapolis killer admitted regret. He wrote: “I’m tired of being trans, I wish I never brainwashed myself.” “I regret being trans. I wish I was a girl, I just know I cannot achieve that body with the technology we have today.” He knew the truth. He knew the ideology lied. But no one stopped him. Friends heard him praise Hitler in middle school. Hate showed itself early. Still, adults looked away until the shooting, when his hatred of Jews, Christians, and Republicans was on full display. Parental Failure, Public Tragedy His mother signed off on his name change when he was only 17. She once worked at the very Catholic school he later targeted. Police Chief Brian O’Hara revealed the frustration investigators face: “We have not been successful in talking to the shooter’s mother,” he said. Instead of answering questions, she hired high-profile defense lawyer Ryan Garry. He defended her silence in a statement to Fox News: “She is completely distraught about the situation and has no culpability but is seeking an attorney to deal with calls like this.” Families bury their children. She avoids questions. (MORE NEWS: Kilmar Abrego Garcia and the Deep Immigration Divide) A Pattern Being Ignored This wasn’t a one-off. Seven recent mass shootings involved individuals in the LGBTQ community. But networks won’t touch the story. Politicians protect the narrative. Christians get blamed. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey even defended the trans community after the massacre. He scolded those who criticize gender ideology and mocked prayer, saying: “Don’t just say this is about thoughts and prayers right now. These kids were literally praying.” This is the same guy who knelt to pray and sob at the casket of George Floyd. He shifted the blame instead of telling the truth. WOW — Dem. Mayor of Minneapolis Jacob Frey CONDEMNS praying for the victims of the Catholic mass shooting. “Don’t just say this is about thoughts and prayers…these kids were literally praying!” Cruel and callous. pic.twitter.com/5mVAQAijn1 — Townhall.com (@townhallcom) August 27, 2025 You get it yet? Final Word We refuse to remember the coward of Minneapolis. His name dies here. We remember the children. Harper Moyoski and Fletcher Merkel. Their names live on. We remember the truth. And we demand the courage to face it. This culture of lies has taken too much. It will continue until we confront it. The time is now. Forget the Headlines. Challenge the Script. Deliver the Truth. At The Modern Memo, we don’t tiptoe through talking points — we swing a machete through the media’s favorite lies. They protect power. We confront it. If you’re sick of censorship, narrative control, and being told what to think — stand with us. Share the story. Wake the people. Because truth dies in silence — and you weren’t made to stay quiet.
