Democrats have blamed climate change and agency rollbacks for creating tinderbox conditions, but forestry experts see a self-inflicted wound that began festering as far back as the Clinton administration. Three decades of environmental litigation, they say, has warped forest management into a Byzantine maze of legal delays and procedural dead ends — leaving millions of acres to accumulate fuel faster than anyone can clear it. Plato’s Socratic Dialogues On Atlantis Location The original story of Atlantis comes from the great Greek philosopher Plato, and two Socratic dialogues Timaeus and Critias, written in the year 360 B.C., according to ThoughtCo. Socrates apparently asked three men (Timaeus, Hermocrates, and Critias) to describe ancient Athens’ relationships with other states. Newsom Attacks Republicans On Violent Crime — Data Tell Different Story

However, statistics show California ranks above most states in overall violent crime, one of several statistics that do not fit Newsom’s narrative of conservatives failing to crack down on criminals. A study by Paper Prisons Initiative in 2020 put California’s felony rate among the top 15 in the country. Even on violent crime specifically, Newsom’s claims were questioned. The left-leaning Politifact acknowledged that California’s overall violent crime rate ranked sixth in the country in 2023, higher than that of Oklahoma and Alabama, according to FBI data. You’re more likely to be murdered, sexually assaulted, or shot in a red state than in California,” a Newsom spokesperson told the DCNF. “Since taking office, Governor Newsom has invested over $1.1 billion to improve public safety, fund the police, and crack down on organized crime. That’s why California is seeing results — and the Governor is committed to building on that progress.” Smith noted another inconvenient fact for California stemming from Proposition 47, a measure passed in 2014 that reduced penalties for crimes such as shoplifting and grand theft. “The theft undercount in California was huge due to the fact that crime victims stopped reporting due to Prop 47,” Smith told the DCNF. A bipartisan state commission found in July 2024 that theft reporting decreased by more than 7% from 2010 to 2022 while many violent crimes were reported to be spiking. Voters overturned most of Proposition 47 in November. Newsom also highlighted Republican states’ murder rates in 2022, suggesting Democrats should use the data to push back on accusations that their party is soft on crime. Experts previously told the DCNF that Newsom’s fixation on statewide statistics ignores the fact that liberal cities are often catalysts for violent crime around the country. Nine of the ten cities with the highest murder rates in 2024 all had mayors who were Democrats or left-leaning nonpartisan candidates, according to data from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Newsom is truly trying his hardest to become a big noise ahead of the 2026 midterms, possibly the 2028 presidential election, he has done absolutely nothing to mitigate the macro-social decline taking place through his state. California may have the most beautiful beaches, national parks, and natural landscape, it is home to some of the most dangerous politicians this nation has ever seen. Not only do none of Newsom’s policies on crime align with actual crime reduction, but even his climate change initiatives don’t work. In a recent study by WalletHub, California ranked in the Top Worst cities for air pollution, while boasting the worst-run cities overall. Whether or not the real Newsom is running his own social media, making all of these very silly comments, is unclear. What is clear is that you need to ensure that you avoid voting for anyone who could replicate Newsom’s work in your own state.

‘If I Was Waiting For FEMA, I Would Be Screwed’: You’ll Sob Watching What’s Happening In NC Months After Hurricane Helene

If Christians organizations hadn’t stepped in to financially and practically support the victims of Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina, a majority of estimated 10,000 square miles devastated would still be in ruin. A video shared by one of YouTube’s most successful and watchable creators, Peter Santenello, in June revealed what is really happening in western North Carolina more than half a year after the region was devastated by Hurricane Helene. It is hard to describe the sheer scale of the destruction, with some estimates suggesting anywhere from 250 to more than 500 lives lost in the extreme weather event that flattened much of the region. Entire towns were destroyed in a matter of hours as landslides and biblically-enormous torrents of water washed through the valleys and hollers that define the geography of Appalachia. Many areas are still without power, while others are barely receiving cell service thanks to the free provision of Starlink, a Bat Cave local legend and First Department chief Steve told Santenello. “That was a tremendous help,” Steve said of Starlink. Not even 911 was available to locals, making this arguably one of the worst natural disasters in modern American history. Watch the interview with Steve: Landslides, tornadoes, torrents of water over already saturated land led to the total washout of homes, bridges, and roads, rendering some areas inaccessible to this day. Santenello noted that many people have differing opinions on the emergency response from FEMA, so asked Steve for his take on the situation, as well as the temperature of the community as it relates to support from the state and federal government. Steve offered his personal story on the situation, detailing how his house was hit by a landslide. I just had to shut off half of it, so I spent all my time rescuing and doing that sort of thing,” he told Santenello. “Well, when FEMA came in, you apply for it and all that. Right off the bat, the first thing was, ‘oh, we’ll get you a place to stay.’” FEMA offered him a place three counties away from his people, so Steve turned it down. “After that, my house had basically $20,000 worth of damage to it,” he continued. FEMA came to look at it “and they gave me $2,000.” Everyone kept Steve and others to keep appealing the decision, which he has done for months (seven at the time of filming), and nothing has changed. FEMA will not help him, just like they haven’t helped most of the people Santenello interviewed — and those who spoke to Million Voices on condition of anonymity. ‘Thank God For The Christian Organizations’ “Thank God for the Christian organizations,” Steve continued. “… ‘Cause they have come up and helped get me back. But if I was waiting for FEMA, I would be screwed.” Things have improved since “the politics changed after the election,” Steve clarified. “But before that it was terrible.” Still, some people are falling through the cracks, “and I think it’s just the bureaucracy of how big [FEMA] is.” (RELATED: Guys, We May Have Found The Most Addictive New Outdoors Show On YouTube) The biggest thing locals in WNC need right now is for the roads to be rebuilt. Without access, everything else is on-hold. Families are living almost a year post-Helene without any septic, forced to use buckets instead of bathrooms. “We’re just in a really bad position not having the real estate to be able to do kind of [rebuilding of roads],” Steve noted. Still, Christian and Amish organizations have stepped up where FEMA has failed, proving that the government is not your community. In the most dire situations, the government probably won’t come and help you. One group who have shown up to help is Spokes of Hope, the founder of which spoke with Santenello at length about his organization’s ethos of help. “I’m going to go straight Jesus on you,” Shane Zoccole said before he started. “At the end of the day, God tells His people He’ll never leave us or forsake us. And if we’re going to come to a town and say ‘Our God will never leave you or forsake you,’ and we leave in a couple [of] weeks, then we forsake them.” The Last Thing Jesus Said On The Cross “And what’s the last thing Jesus said on the cross? ‘It’s finished,’” Zoccolo continued. “We got to finish. That’s the way we do it, or we take people’s faith away.” Going to a disaster zone or mission and not finishing what you went there to do is no different to taking the Lord’s name in vain, Zoccolo added. “That’s not the way God works. He took it to the cross. All the way. If Jesus would have stopped two-third of the way and said, ‘that’s it, I spent enough.’” Zoccolo didn’t need to finish this thought, because we all know what would have happened if Jesus had quit what He came here to do. “Wake up, church! On Friday night, around 1,000 individuals caused chaos in the city, surrounding a federal building, attacking ICE agents, deflating tires, and vandalizing government property, according to the Department of Homeland Security. The unrest led to significant damage and severe traffic disruptions, halting traffic on several critical city roads. Trump authorized the National Guard’s deployment on Saturday night to assist local law enforcement and warned Democratic California Gov. Maxine Waters also weighed in, claiming Monday that “no violence” occurred in Los Angeles, despite footage showing cars set on fire and at least one attack on federal agents. Waters then disagreed with Los Angeles Police Department Chief Jim McConnell’s characterization of increasing violence. Walmart Met With MAGA Boycott After Heiress Funds ‘No Kings Day’ Ad
Walmart heiress Christy Walton placed a full-page ad in The New York Times in June supporting “No Kings Day,” which many believe is a fierce anti-President Donald Trump and anti-American First celebration. The ad itself did not explicitly mention Trump, but many have interpreted the language as being anti-American First, according to Newsweek. “No Kings Day” is supposed to support things like honoring commitments to allies, defending against dictatorships, and respecting trading partners, which sounds really great on the surface — but also leaves many people asking, “why do we need a day like this? Feel like something corporate America needs, but not the American people?” The ad (as seen below) includes language like “The honor, dignity and integrity of our country is not for sale. What Is ‘No Kings Day’ Don’t feel bad for not knowing what “No Kings Day” is, or when it is — it is not a national holiday. In fact, it isn’t even a “day.” It appears to be a protest organized by a group called Invisible, which is pretty funny because that is what “No Kings Day” was — invisible — until Walton made a big deal out of it. Now that America does know what “No Kings Day” is, most people don’t want it. The protest is organized for June 14. Patriots will know that June 14 is also flag day, and the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. Trump has organized a substantial military parade to honor this sacred day. It is a sad excuse for a small group of loud elites and the people who fund their lifestyles to sit around and do nothing about the problems they think they understand. Quite frankly, if you can afford to keep shopping at Walmart, well done! In just the last few years, we’ve realized their prices are skyrocketing from being the go-to place for families to get their weekly shop, to an overpriced dumpster fire of crap Chinese toys and furniture, and foods filled with every synthetical chemical known to man. If you can, shop local. Go to your farmer’s market. Start a garden. Thrift and swap with friends. There are so many ways to save money while these huge retailers try to get rich off your backs. And if you’re the kind of person who needs *new* things to feel special, then you better start working really hard, or else the next decade will be a very difficult time for you.
