Trump’s First 100 Days: Gangs, Primetime Collapse, And More ‘Underreported Stories’

“Underreported Stories” host Chrissy Clark sat down in April with Semafor White House correspondent Shelby Talcott to discuss the myriad things that have happened during President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office — this is one you’re not going to want to miss! “It has been a lot,” Talcott told Clark of her job during Trump’s second term in office thus far. “There’s been a lot of lack of sleep. But it’s been a lot of fun and I think we came into this, or at least I came into this, knowing that this was going to be the pace in which the Trump administration was doing things because they told us during the transition.” Talcott smiled as she told her story, noting that officials told journalists before the start of Trump’s second term that there would be no slowing down. “They want to overwhelm the system,” Talcott added. 2-Year-Old Deported? In their first story for the episode, Clark and Talcott discussed how the Trump administration was recently criticized for technically deporting a 2-year-old child and her mother who is an illegal immigrant. The child will be welcomed back to the U.S. whenever she chooses as she is legal to do so. (MORE NEWS: Navy SEAL Dissects Ukraine Negotiations Strategy In Must-Watch Chrissy Clark Interview) Despite immigration being a generally good issue for Trump, Clark noted that this particular case isn’t a good look for the administration. “It’s just such a tough situation and there’s a lot of ‘He said; She said,’” Talcott added. Clark also shared a social media post about the story where she went into more detail. Navy SEAL Dissects Ukraine Negotiations Strategy In Must-Watch Chrissy Clark Interview

Independent journalist Chrissy Clark interviewed Navy SEAL and Newsmax host Carl Higbie in late February about the ongoing negotiations within the Russia-Ukraine war. “In this conversation, Carl explains the political, military, and diplomatic factors driving (and hurting) these high-stakes talks,” Clark says in the description. What Does Higbie Think Now? Higbie’s conversation with Clark happened just days before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy got into a nasty little shouting match with Vice President JD Vance and President Donald Trump, according to DCNF. The argument commenced as Zelenskyy openly criticized the U.S. for not stopping Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, which happened under the leadership of President Joe Biden. “The part of history they don’t want you to know about Ukraine war.”pic.twitter.com/ffiwTwRkaU — Carl Higbie (@CarlHigbie) March 4, 2025 Higbie broke down his feelings on the situation during various segments on his nightly Newsmax show (5pm ET Monday – Friday). JD Vance Calls Out European Leaders Following the heated exchange between Trump, Vance and Zelenskyy, Vance took to Fox News to call out Europeans who “puff up their chests” and back the war in public, but immediately change their tune as soon as the journalists are out of earshot, according to Breitbart. “I don’t care what the Europeans say in public” because it is so different to what they say behind closed doors. Peace is what everyone realizes is best for Ukraine, Russia, and the region. “It’s useful to step back and ask ourselves, what is the actual plan here? You can’t just fund the war forever, the American people won’t stand for it… Our European friends… are doing a disservice to the Ukrainians because their own populations are saying they don’t want to fund the war indefinitely,” Vance added. “The craziest part of this… is sometimes you will have European heads of state who in public will puff up their chests and say, ‘we’re in it with President Zelensky for the next 10 years’, and then in private, they will pick up the phone and say, ‘This can’t go on forever. He has to come to the negotiating table’,” he continued later in the same segment. Independent Journalist Chrissy Clark Predicts Huge Govt. Waste, Corruption Days Before DOGE Revelation

This article is updated from content originally shared here. Independent journalist Chrissy Clark shared a video in late January where she “suggested the US government was [directly] interfering [with] alleged ‘journalism’ at Politico, which other journalists now believe may be true. Clark’s story revolves around a report by former Politico journalists who recently alleged that the outlet “took their sweet time” to cover certain stories and published “a bunch of lies disguised as headlines.” One example involved coverage of Hunter Biden’s laptop and the 51 intelligence agents who signed a letter claiming it wasn’t real. 8 days ago I reviewed an interview between two ex-Politico reporters on my YouTube channel and suggested the US government was DIRECTLY interfering w/ alleged “journalism” at Politico. Her post came in response to another claim by podcaster and journalist Benny Johnson, who said Politico “missed a pay period” on February 4, after which it was revealed that U.S. government agencies “dropped a staggering $34 million in contracts with Virginia-based news outlet Politico, mostly on subscriptions, according to data from USASpending.gov.,” wrote the Daily Caller. The missed pay period at Politico was apparently due to a “technical error.” Where Did All That Money Go? The money was broken down and shared out across almost every government agency. Examples include $862,025 between 2021 and 2025 in subscriptions for the Department of the Interior’s National Park Service to Politico’s Energy and Environment (E&E) News service. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services made a purchase order of $445,140 to Politico. The Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Energy, Department of Health and Human Services and the Treasury Department all spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on either E&E or Politico Pro. Subscriptions to Politico Pro costs roughly $10,000, according to Daily Caller. (FAITH NEWS: ‘Separation Of Church And State Is So Stupid’: National Radio Host Joe Pags Goes Off) Other outlets found to be “raking in taxpayer cash” include The New York Times, Wall Street Journal parent company Dow Jones & Co Inc., The Associated Press, and others, according to data shared by the Daily Caller News Foundation. What Is Next For Govt. Waste? White House Press Secretary Karolina Leavitt didn’t leave much to the imagination when explaining the future of those payments to Politico: Press Secretary Leavitt calls out Politico to their face. “I was made aware of funding from USAID to Media Outlets…including Politico…who I know has a seat in this room. The $8M you receive ends today. The DOGE Team is cancelling those payments now…” pic.twitter.com/s3xiy2h87F — Liz Churchill (@liz_churchill10) February 5, 2025 Republican Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley told Fox News  that people “are losing their minds” over the Trump administration’s exposure of taxpayer dollars being wasted. “They’re panicking big time, Laura, because their power base is being threatened. That’s what’s really going on here. I mean, look at what they’re doing over USAID. This is because they’ve used that as their personal plaything. That includes billions and billions of taxpayer dollars that have gone, yeah, to fund outrageous stuff overseas like trans-affirming projects in Zimbabwe or whatever,” Hawley explained to host Laura Ingraham. “But also let’s not forget to fund their preferred media outlets like Politico and who knows what other left-wing rags have been getting money, federal government money from this agency, and there’s been no accountability,” Hawley added. “So yes, what’s happening is Trump is exposing all of this. He is cutting off the liberal supply chains, as it were, and the liberals are just losing their minds. They’re totally losing their minds. […] We need more of it. You mentioned the IRS. I love it. I love Trump’s idea to get rid of the Internal Revenue Service. Let’s make it the External Revenue Service. Let’s start making these agencies work for the American people.” Take Action On This Issue The Modern Memo is not a breaking news organization.
